Egypt opens its border for Palestinians
Egypt on Saturday opened its borders with the Gaza Strip to allow the departure of a number of Palestinians traveling to Egypt for medical treatment, among other travelers, Hamas authorities said. Palestinian rivals will start a new round of unity and reconciliation talks in Cairo Saturday in a bid to reach a deal on a unified government. The fifth session of the national dialogue will last for three days .
The Hamas delegation, which is headed by former foreig minister Mahmud Zahar and the Fatah delegation led by Zakaria al-Agha, entered Egypt through the Rafah border crossing on Friday.The two groups have been bitterly divided since Hamas seized control of Gaza in June 2007.
